Learn how to start with a freshly cut log or branch and carve household utensils, like chopsticks, spreaders, and spoons! In this class we’ll learn traditional greenwood carving, using axes and carving knives to transform woods from our local forests into useful objects for your home. From discussions about proper knife grips and safety, to contemplation on design and decoration, this more in depth class will offer an excellent foundation to any aspiring or emerging woodworker who’s looking for a more peaceful, reflective, and easily portable form of working with this sustainable material. No previous experience in woodworking is required to take this class, and experienced woodworkers are welcome too. Instructor: Rose Holdorf
