Make a Handcut Dovetailed Bench with Nat Stein and Kat Edmonds

Class Description: 

We will make a small bench with dovetails and mortise and tenon joinery cut by hand. You will learn to four-square mill wood with hand planes. We will then hand-cut mortise-and-tenon and dovetail joints. We will make a small bench with dovetails and a mortise and tenon joint.

We will cover hand tool sharpening, tuning, and use of planes, chisels, and other hand tools.

This is a complex project and takes a while to complete so we allow for 8 weeks of class, but understand that over 2 months, it's likely you will miss a few of the Mondays. If you can plan on making 6 of the 8 classes you should be able to complete your project. You will also have access to wood shop the second month of class for the purpose of completing your project if needed during our membership hours.
