Age Requirement: This class is for adults and youth 14-17. Youth 10-13 can participate if their parent or guardian is present (parent or guardian is not required to register separately).
Students bring: all materials and safety equipment will be provided. Please wear close fitting clothes, close toed shoes and tie up long hair.
You may bring your own eye and ear protection if you wish.
This class covers the steps to build a beautiful hardwood mallet, useful for persuading tight joints in style. Students will use power tools to shape the head and handle of the mallet and join the two with a secure wedged dovetail connection. Your mallet will be ready to take home at the end of class and put into use the next day.
